The patient counselor guides patients through the surgery process, explaining details of the surgical procedure. Before and after photos help patients visualize possible results. Every patient concern and decision is discussed with the patient counselor and Dr. Winder, including financing options. Nurses experienced in plastic surgery meet with you before and after surgery to insure that instructions and surgery details are understood and all concerns are handled promptly.
Specially trained surgical technicians, circulating nurses, recovery room nurses and anesthesiologists complete the surgical team committed to providing the highest quality surgical care possible.

The first ambulatory surgical facility of its type in the Four Corners, the SurgiCenter is Colorado-licensed and Medicare-approved. That means the SurgiCenter has passed the highest level of building code and operating code requirements, assuring a proper and safe surgical environment. Accreditation has also been completed by the Federated Ambulatory Surgical Association.
Denis J. Winder M.D.
Dr. Winder, a plastic surgeon for more than 25 years, is one of the original plastic surgery specialists to establish a practice in the Four Corners. His patients come from Farmington, Cortez, Durango, and throughout the United States to benefit from his specialized surgical skills.
He studied medicine at Ohio State University, then general surgery at Akron City Hospital, Akron, Ohio and Wm. Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Michigan. His plastic surgery residency was at St. Louis University, St. Louis Missouri.
Dr. Winder is licensed to practice both general and plastic surgery in all Four Corners States, plus Michigan and Missouri. He's certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is an active member of the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons. He has also completed a six-year term (1991-1997) on the Board of Directors of the Colorado Medical Society.
